So I pinned it on Pinterest as well as in my head. While shopping at my local Dollar Tree recently, that pin popped into my head. Oh yea!! It was the perfect place to look for the supplies.
I was able to find the clear 5x7 standing frame as well as generic brand post-it's. They were a little larger than the regular square ones, but still fit perfectly on the frame.
After raiding my scrapbooking scraps, I found the perfect papers to use. LOVE using up paper scraps!! I also had some extra alphabet stickers lying around that matched in color as well. Major score!!
But something just wasn't right. For whatever reason, it looked like it was missing something. Going with the office supply theme, I thought why not figure out a way for it to hold more things. Like paperclips perhaps?
I found some old magnets on our refrigerator that had been begging to be used for quite some time now. I used E-6000 glue to adhere them to the front.
Being a person to hardly ever leave well enough alone, I embellished a green binder clip found in my desk drawer to add to the top.
I can't wait to give it to her teacher. It's definitely something unique, but also useful. But best of all, only cost me $2!! :)
Ok, I love this idea and am totally going to have to CASE this!
ReplyDeleteHey Amber, what did you use to secure the notepad to the frame? You can message me on Facebook if ya want about it!
